Let’s get to the root together—and grow some Lovely Locks along the way.

I have some heartfelt updates to share from Lovely Locks Salon.
But first, thank you. Truly.

Whether you’ve visited me once or you’ve been sitting in my chair for the last 17 years, your trust and support mean more than I can put into words. The world has changed dramatically over the past two decades, and in many ways, we’ve walked through those changes together.

One experience we all shared—each in our own way—was the pandemic. If you’re reading this, you made it through. And while we survived, many of us didn’t come through unchanged. One of the most common and quietly distressing challenges I began seeing—both personally and professionally—was hair loss.

Even before 2020, I noticed an increase in hair thinning and shedding among my clients. Over the last five years, that trend has grown significantly. What made it especially difficult was this: hair loss was barely discussed during my cosmetology education. When clients asked questions, I didn’t always have the answers—and that became deeply personal when I began experiencing a significant shed myself following a medical procedure in late 2020.

It was unsettling to watch my hair fall out. I tried the usual recommendations, hoping for relief, and while some things helped temporarily, nothing addressed the deeper why. That search led me to trichology.

Trichology is the scientific study of the hair and scalp—focused on understanding root causes, not just symptoms. It looks at the structure and function of the scalp and follicles and addresses concerns like hair loss, shedding, irritation, dandruff, and breakage through non-medical, evidence-informed approaches. This includes microscopic scalp analysis, targeted treatments, light therapy, and advanced biologics such as growth factors, exosomes, and peptides.

Over the past two years, I have immersed myself in this work—studying scalp health, hair loss patterns, underlying contributors, and restorative treatment options—while earning my Certification in Trichology. This journey has been both humbling and invigorating, and it has expanded the way I care for you in the chair.

I’m honored to share that Lovely Locks Salon is officially expanding to include scalp and hair wellness services. These offerings are now live on my scheduling platform at lovelylocks.comb.works and on my website at lovelylocksadel.com.

If you—or someone you love—are experiencing hair loss or scalp concerns, I invite you to reach out. There is no need to suffer in silence, feel embarrassed, or feel overwhelmed by gimmicks, old wives’ tales, or endless online advice. Real answers and thoughtful support are available.

Let’s get to the root together—and grow some Lovely Locks along the way.

With gratitude,
Lisa 🤍
